Sorcerer's Showdown is played in a locale that has 7 dice lined up in a row in the front of the locale. The first six dice will show the numbers 1 through 6; these six dice are used to identify the players. The 7th die, to the far right of the screen, is used by your host, Lady Marianne G, during play. You begin play as a ghost -- your goal is to be the last player left standing
after being called out of the ghost cloud to face your fellow players in a
6-Player DISPEERO showdown. There are THREE elimination rounds before the Finals. So stick around if you’re not called down for first round of play. When the game begins, the Host will call for registrations. Please register by ESP-ing a "$" to the Host. At the end of the registration period, the Host will randomly call 6 players to deghost from the cloud. Each Player deghosting will choose a die that has not already been claimed by another Player and stand next to it by 'walking to' it. The number on the die so chosen represents that Player's number for the round. Now would be a good time for Players to check to be certain that they are NOT wearing a spell protector AND that they ARE carrying a spell caster of some sort (an orb or a book). IMPORTANT: Even
Players who cannot, for some reason (a pet avatar, for instance), cast or be
cast upon CAN STILL PLAY THIS GAME. Through
the kind auspices of the King, at the behest of Lady Marianne G, and through
the POWER OF IMAGINATION, such Players will be granted, for the duration of
the game, an When all players are standing in ready by their dice, the Host rolls the Host Die. The number it lands on, 1 through 6, will indicate the Player Number who will then be granted the right to cast DISPEERO on any other Player (the "Target") of their choosing. The Target will then ghost and play will continue with the Players left on the ground. Should the host roll the number
of a Player already in the ghost cloud, that Player will de-ghost and cast
DISPEERO on a Target Player of their choice, as long as more than 2 players are left on the
ground. This is known as resurrection. If any Player cannot or does not wish to choose another player to be the Target, the Player may choose to ask the hostess to roll her die to determine who is to be ghosted. If the Player's own number is rolled in this manner, then the Player becomes the Target and must ghost. Also, if the number of an already-ghosted Player is rolled in this way, the already-ghosted player returns to play and is allowed to pick a target. Play continues in this manner until only TWO players are left. Once down to 2 Players at the dice, they are in the finals, and the last two players eliminated before them will win a door prize, if they have not done so yet. First pick goes to the last one eliminated Play in the Final Round is the same as above, with 6 Players qualified to play in the Finals EXCEPT once a Final Round Player is ghosted, that's it, it's permanent, a Final Round Player cannot be recalled from the ghost cloud. Winners are determined in
the Final Round as follows: the first
player out wins 6th pick,
second out wins 5th pick,
then 4th , then 3rd, then
the die is rolled until one of the two remaining players are rolled. As that player would not eliminate
themselves, they are the winner and the other player takes second. |
